I was looking into hooking up my DTV and Voom satellite through a switcher. Problem is only one can connect to tv via DVI and the other will have to use Componet. What will the difference in picture quality be from the componet and DVI? Thanks! :yippee:

Most people report they can't see a difference between component and DVI. You can buy a switcher, output of Voom STB and D* stb goes in and you select which is outputted to your TV, but I hear they're kind of expensive.

Switches have a variety of prices depending on type of connection switched, number of ports, etc. They start at about $150... see DigitalConnection...

Cant see a difference between Component and DVI on my RPTV. LCD and Plasma are another story, DVI is a must have.
