Im looking for a NICE HD TV. I have 2,000, I have been watching sales go and pass for a long time now. I been told samsungs are the best and I want a tv FOR SPORTS ON TV AND GAMING. I want at least a 50" flat screen and was also looking at the projections in at least a 60". Im looking at one at Best Buy, they have a sale on a SAMSUNG 52", LCD, 1080p. I think the model number is (LNT5265F) 8251544. Its on sale for 2099. Its the one without the 120hz.

Isnt this a GREAT deal? is it the best deal and should I buy it for sure?
Is this the best deal for my 2,000 bucks?
Should I hold onto my money and wait for prices to drop on something better in the near future? HOw long away?
When will the 120hz tvs price drop and should i wait for one of these TV's, instead, remember I have 2,000 bucks?

I want the best option for my 2,000 bucks, what would you do?

Any experienced help appreciated,

Thanks

If I had 2 grand to spend, Samsung would definitely not be my first choice. But hey, everyone else seems to buy Samsung, despite the constant barrage of complaints. Go ahead, join the crowd.

Not a huge Sony fan (despite my old signature) but would pick a plasma first over LCD. But can understand some concerns over IR....But if an LCD a Sony XBR4 or 5 over a Sammy.

Don't worry about burn in. It isn't an issue anymore as long as you break in your tv. I just ordered the Panny TH-50pz77u last night from onecall.com with a 3 year extended warranty, no tax, no shipping...$2200 to my door. Definitely an upgrade over the Samsung IMO.

P.s. They are running low on stock, so you might want to jump on it.

P.s.s. If BB has that tv for that price you can probably find a better deal online. You can get that same Samsung for $100 less through onecall.com

Check out the Pioneer 5080. I bought mine over a month ago for just over $2000. I bought it from Amazon, but on my recommendation a friend just bought it at BB for maybe $2100. It's certainly among the elite for PQ, and would be worth stretching a couple hundred bucks if you're that close.

No problems purchasing from Amazon, but my friends didn't have a problem with BB either.

I use mine for movies, gaming, sports, and TV, and just couldn't be happier.

Good luck!

I know how you feel. This was my first online purchase of a tv. I did my research though and I feel very confident that I got a good deal with good service.

So much of picking a tv is personal preference. If you think the Sammy looks good, then go for it. The price seems about right. People on here can only give you their personal experiences and opinions, FROM THEIR POINT OF VIEW. If you like the tv, grab it up now and be happy with your purchase.
