whats up fellow hd heads i just purchased the insignia plasma 42 inch from best buy for 799 and i just want to say that i love it for the price and size i just coulndt say no even though i was scared because of the burn in issue but i took a chance and i just want to say this picture is on par with all the other brands that i looked at im using it with directv hd im plannibg on purchasing a ps3 for blueray in couple of weeks i just want to know do you think i should mount this tv on the wall because of its screen size or just keep it on a stand the tv weighs aroun 60 pounds thanks

Im not a big wall-mounting fan so if you have a cool stand then just do it that way. Dont worry about burn-in, its really not an issue unless you purposely abuse the TV. ;)

Thanks for the info--I was looking at that one too....great price. I am just curious what you replaced? I am replacing a 32 inch tube television.

burn in might occur if you hooked up your pc or laptop to your plasma and you didn't have some sort of screen saver enabled.

Don't worry about burn-in. Just don't display a static image on the screen for 7 days straight. you might want to watch a bit of tv on it every once in a while. (yes I'm being a bit sarcastic there) Burn-in is basically a non-issue now.
