which cable is better?

Both cables are from monoprice.com.

1) 1.3a 2 certified CL2 with net jacket (10ft) selling for $16.63

2) 1.3a 2 certified CL2 rated silver plated copper 24awg (10ft) for $23.85.

Why the one more expensive that the other? I need to buy the hdmi cables.

The difference seems to be silver plated copper conductors on the more expensive cable vs solid copper conductors on the other.

While silver has slightly better electrical conductivity than copper, there is little reason to believe that there should be any difference between the two cables.

Save your money and purchase the less expensive one.

There may be some other differences in these two cables which justifies the difference in price, such as construction quality, but silver plating is not a reason to pay more by itself. Just plating a coper cable with silver should make no discernible difference, in fact one could argue that it creates a small unwanted capacitance. If all the conductors were pure silver then it could be claimed that the resistance was lower, but realistically if the copper wire is the proper gauge, what's the diff?

That about the way it shapes up in my opinion!!!
