Comcast Cable

I canceled Comcast digital cable after I could not get the M-card to work with my TV, but I still have cable modem

As of before, I get all analog channels and alot digital channels when I only subscribe for cable modem only.

A few days after I canceled digital cable, I lost all analog channels and a few digital channels. Now, I can only watch digital channels.

I dont see any filters in the cable box in my backyard.

Comcast has new way to filter out the signal?

I worked for comcast in VA.
I work for Charter in NC at this time.
both systems work the sames.
Cust. calls in a downgrade.
Cable company rolls truck.
Tech installs an 'internet' only trap at the Tap. (box in the yard, or up on the pole...always at TAP..never mid stream).
Tech verify signal at the ground point. usually, right next to your elec. meter cause we need to ground off there.
Generally, the 'modem only' trap kills all analog signal. The tech checks the 'internet' channel (one channel in the lower to mid 80's in areas that i've worked).
it really sounds like you have a trap installed, but have yet to locate it. A lazy installer, might have installed the trap at your ground block near the meter, or you have yet to find the right "box" in your front yard.

Thanks for the info.
I am aware about the filter/trap and could not locate it yet. Since it's been awhile, I thought the new the way to filter out the signal is at the central office.

--back in 1999, they put the filter in the back of the TV.
--later they put in the box but you can remove if you have the key to the box.
--now I see the filter in the box (the filter is for my next house neighbor), but it cover..so you must have special tool to remove it??

I forgot to check at the ground block near the meter. I will check it tonight to see there is a trap there.
