Switched to component, now getting pixelation

I just bought a Sharp Aquos 42" LCD. I had it hooked up with RCA cables (only thing I had at the time). I've since switched to component cables for video and RCA for audio. My picture did not improve... it actually got a little worse- more pixelation. Am I not doing something right? Need help.

What do you have hooked up to the TV? Makes and model numbers would give us the information to help you out but we do need more info.

TV is hooked up to a DISH 722 and an OTA antenna.

Did you go into the Dish settings menu and set it to display 1080i and 16:9?

Actually my Sharp is 720p, so should I put the setting on 720 or 1080?

Try them both and see which looks better. Go to the TV settings and turn the sharpness all the way down to 0 or 5.
