i want to connect my 32HF73 HDTV to my computer with DVI i got a dvi cable and pluged it all in i got a regular ati x800 pro video card. after i hooked it up i enabled the dvi port and it poped up on my tv but the resolution was way off and the picture was off center i messed with it a little there is an option to force it to use 1080i i tried that and it was almost perfect except about 2" of the left and 1" of bottom is cut off so i cant see my start meny ahd half my desktop icons. i also tried setting it to 1920x1080 and it was still off and didnt fit.

does anyone know how i can make it fit correctly on my screen do i need a video card with HDTV tuner for it to work or will my regular DVI ouput video card work.

TVs intentionally make the image larger than the screen, it's called overscan. Monitors intentionally make it smaller, underscanning. Search on 'overscan' for lots of info.

If that model TV is the 4:3 CRT I think, you should still be feeding it 1920 x 1080i. Maybe try 848 x 480 if you've got it. Refresh must ONLY be set to 60 Hz. TVs only understand 60 Hz, more can damage.

Service menu is for servicemen, not for the uninformed. You can kill your TV with bad enough misadjustment... make sure you know what you're doing before messing here.
