Rack Your HDMI Brain

I have had an issue for the last few months that I am wondering if someone can help me with. I want to be able to hook up my surround sound/gamer/Projector the best way possible. I would love everything to be HDMI connected but I am not sure that it is possible. Can you look at the equipment that I have and tell me the best way to set it up?

upconverter DVD/audio reciever (Panisonic SC-HT740) - one HDMI and 3 comp.
Xbox 360- 1 HDMI output or comp.
One projector- one HDMI input and one comp.
DVR - 1 HDMI 1 comp.
And I have a 3 in 1 HDMI source for more inputs.

My issue now is that I would love to connect my 360, DVR, and DVD be connected to my Projector and still have the audio work for all three as well. The issue seems to be that my DVD/audio receiver only has one port of HDMI and no matter what I think about doing it does not turn out. If I plug in the 360 and DVR to the 3X1 and plug it into the audio then I don't have video. What do you think? Is it possible or am I just going to have to use my current config using comp?

Thanks

You will not be able to run everything with just HDMI, as the Panasonic's HDMI is an output, not an input. The problem you are having is the lack of inputs on the Panasonic HTIB and the projector.

You will need to plug all HDMI sources into the HDMI switcher for video. Then run one HDMI to the projector.

As for audio, the Panasonic HTIB is limited. You should either get an optical cable switcher or analog audio switcher to get the audio from the X-Box and DVR through the Panasonic HTIB.

This way of thinking, all video sources will be straight to the projector (video to video) and all audio sources will be into the Panasonic system (audio to audio).
