Help! I am about to buy a 52" LCD and need advice please

I'm a rookie, so I'd really appreciate your suggestions. I have a 50" Sony SXRD 1080i that a buddy is buying so I am going to get an LCD as I should have (I think) originally.

1. Lot's of video games on it.
2. One wall is entirely windows.
3. Lot's of action movies, sports, etc.
4. Blu-Ray (need help with that too, hehe), Cable & Video Game System are to be connected; not sure if receiver too.
5. Price is an issue, but not TOO much of one. I'd prefer bang for the buck but want quality too.

I am considering Sony XBR4 and 5, Samsung 71 & 81 (Is there a 91 coming? I can wait a bit), and Sharp 92U. I am open to others, these are just the ones I really like in the store.

All of the sets you mentioned are top of the line LCDs. You really couldn't go wrong with any of them.

However, the 71 and 81 series Samsungs have that really glossy screen. So that may give you glare issues with large windows. I prefer the glossy screens due to the sharpness and contrast that it seems to bring, but you will not like it with large windows.

I'll go check out the glare. Is it as high as on Plasma's?

How long do you guys think till the Samsungs and Sonys go below 8MS like the Sharps?

There is glare and it is noticeable to me. You should head to a store and see it for yourself and judge whether or not it will affect you.
