LG (47LB5D) vs SONY (KDL46V2500)

I am looking to purchase a LCD TV and am getting a bit overwhelmed with all the information out there. I think I have narrowed my choices down to the above 2 but each has their +s and -s. Any opinions either way would be appreciated. Thanks.

I bought the Sony KDL-46V3000, which is very similar to the one you are looking at and I love it. The picture is outstanding. When at the store comparing them the sony looked way better than the LG IMO.
There is one thing about the sony and that is the clouding issue. If I turn off all my lights and set the TV on a blank input I can see inconsistencies in the black background, mostly at the corners. While watching TV there is no sign of this issue at all, but it still bugs me that it is there, when it is my understanding that other TV don't have this issue. However, I am more than willing to look past this issue because of the superior picture quality over other brands, and because it isn't noticeable during normal watching.
The reason I bring this up is because I have heard that the problem was worse with the V2500 model you are looking at, you may want to check it out. BTW, in the store I am not able to see any clouding, I think because of the lighting in the store.
Just something to think about on case you didn't know.
