help which 32" TV

Which TV is the best bang and quality for the buck ?
VIZO VX32L @ 599 or
SONY KDL32M3000 @790
want to be able to get hi def I dont mind the extra few dollars if one of these two is the better TV . They are both in the car now.

Well right off the bat, the SONY has the QAM tuner which is better then not having a QAM tuner.

And since contrast ratios are basically pointless either one would be good on that playing field. 1200:1 Vs. 1000:1

And since they are both 720p there isn't any difference there that would make you sway one way or another.

I feel that both TV's are equal. I don't honestly think you could go wrong with either one.

The Vizio is a good quality Flat Panel for the budget and you will probably be very satisfied with it.

The only downside of it is slightly poor off angle viewing characteristics and lack of shadow detail.

The Sony is one of the entry level models of the line and is slightly better reviewed then the Vizio but only slightly (like 7.0 vs 6.6).

It's drawbacks are slightly uneven backlight uniformity and cumbersome menu design and a lack of color controls.

I think the Sony has a better look as far as design of the frame but they are close enough I would look at them and decide which one you prefer for the price difference.
