Does the firmware upgrade fix the audio drop problem on the Samsung LN-T3253H?

If anyone knows, please give me a heads up. I need to figure out if this tv is going back to best-buy.

Thank you!

Yes, it's supposed to fix the audio and tearing. For the "53" series of tv's you'll need upgrade version 1020. I have been having a problem with Samsung because they have twice sent me version 1012, which will fix the sound, but not the tearing if you are having it. For some reason, I have requested 1020 but have not received it yet. You can check on the second page of the instructions when you get the upgrade and the version number is there.

They are supposed to be sending me the third thumbdrive and hopefully the third time it's right. We'll see.............

Thanks again for your response... I spent a few months reading reviews and found it hard to choose between sets... eventually I chose this tv for the connectivity and the positive reviews regarding the pq... I don't want to have to give them up now because of this audio problem...

Thanks again.

One clarification to my above statement.

The instructions which came with my thumbdrive update referenced an older version as Samsung is sending instructions from earlier. However, the thumbdrive itself contained the correct 1020 version. So ignore my comment about checking the instructions.

If you want to check the version before installing it, just plug the thumbdrive into your computer's USB port and it should show the version on the drive.
