From the producers of Call of Duty 4 & Guitar Hero III. Not a bad couple of games.

Hmmm, I didn't read the article yet but I can't imagine Guitar Hero 3 being a very hard game to program for...I mean isn't it in reality just a bunch of falling colored DOTS? (for the record I am hopelessly addicted to ALL the the GH games and have BOTH GH3 and Rock band pre-ordered)

I don't know why we see these articles. No system at this point is being taken advantage of 100%.

The only question is how easy it will be TO take advantage of 100% of the capabilities of any system. And of course the knowledge will change in 4-5 years. But I think we'll be seeing the start of the next gen at that time.

So let me get this right- everyone has got to wait 4-5 years before the developers start to understand the system? That means the game will follow roughly a year 2 years later?

Wow, that means everyone has to wait 7 years before the "technical advantage" of the PS3 are put to full use. Heh, wont we have new consoles by then? :what: Im sorry, but almost every console is never taken full advantage of until late in its lifespan- that includes the 360.

oh i love the garbage articles from the sony homer for the year "nextgenrulz". you are starting to hit jimmysmith levels or at least how he was when he first got here.

everyone knows no console is taken full advantage of for many many years. is this your way of coming to terms that this system is not as good as the 360 right now? im honestly asking and not trying to be a  . is this your way of finding that excuse that will hold you and other ps3 only owners. hey man that's fine because you guys need something to hold on to at this point and nothing is better to hold on to then "Hope for a better tomorrow". but while your hoping for a better tomorrow i will be enjoying gaming, down loading HD movies, and connecting to my pc from my 360.

remember when the 360 came out and the ps3 fan boy site where saying those launch games where pushing the 360 to its limits. well then came gears and the same type of articles came up again only gears of war was put into it. then we got vids of UTA and Bio Shock and those same dam articles started coming up. neither console is being pushed to its limits. hell even the Wii is getting better looking and playing games every few months. sorry maybe you wouldnt know that since your just to loyal to the ps3. how loyal was sony when they made all those empty promises and stoped giving devs. the support they needed to bring you guys great games. remember you can call out all those devs but when everything is broken down sony is just not helping the devs at all.

in fact i believe it took devs hastling IBM to get just a very short weekend to help them learn about the cell. and from what i read about that time they left there with more questions then answers. so yes the devs are not getting the most out of the ps3 and until sony is willing to help them out and not give lines like (they need to use their own talents or we want them to find their own way around useing the chip) until that changes dont expect devs to start blowing out ps3 games. remember ps3 games are more expensive to make and why would devs be willing to lose more on figuring out such a complex system when the company they are paying royalties too is not willing to show them how to get the most out of the chip. they didnt even tell devs that it had a upscaler and the devs found that out at the same time we did by reading the gaming news.

until things change big time dont expect the ps3 to reach that potential and that just sucks because i was so hoping this thing would finaly turn around then we could all enjoy gaming without this bickering 360 v.s. ps3 b.s..

I agree. The ease of development is critical to developers.

I don't know why we see these articles. No system at this point is being taken advantage of 100%.

The only question is how easy it will be TO take advantage of 100% of the capabilities of any system. And of course the knowledge will change in 4-5 years. But I think we'll be seeing the start of the next gen at that time.
