surfing around a bit last night through our new channels I ventured over to the 760's and the center ice package. God does hockey look terrible in SD.. maybe it was the feeds (montreal and another cbc) but it was lousy...

with a full slate of "american" games tonight I am hoping for a little HD programming other than versus 2 nights a week.

the promise of HD baseball next year for almost ALL mlb games in the extra innnings package is great... BUT I don't feel too good about sitting through an entire NHL season blurred!!

any news/ideas on this??

I was hoping for more NHL HD as well....As a Rangers fan, hopefully MSG will put them out for you....I'm a Sabres fan and will hope for the same thing....

Good luck with Drury...truly a Class Act! He's a true leader and clutch player that we are already missing....

Best,
Harold

I was browsing the Center Ice channels this evening and noticed each on has a -1. The -# is how the local broadcast channels designate their digital and hi def channels. The -1's show up when you filter the guide for Hi def.

Hopefully they will be active soon.

Uggh.....the only thing worse than the Sabres defense last night was the terrible picture on SD!

I'd rather watch it on my 4:3 tube TV than on my plasma again...and the best part was for half the game it went in to some strange aspect where I only saw the center 50% of the screen - full screen on my TV, but only the center of the action. Since I watched it via DVR today I have no idea what happened during the actual broadcast.

To top it off, after every commercial they'd come back and flash MSG in HD! on the screen....not from where I was sitting.

So I just paid to upgrade to HD-DVR 2 days ago and also pay for Center Ice, but a Center Ice broadcast in HD is not available to me...somehow that just doesn's fly with me....

Anyone else....?

Best,
Harold

I Want MORE Hockey HD feeds also, but Hockey - Which I Love, Is an afterthought in Mosts mind & I Doubt DTV or satalite people stay up late at night wondering how to get more HD Hockey up n running. Yeah that's Sarcasm,
but I wish they Did care more!!! cause Hockey in HD is Awesome...

BTW You as a sabres fan should want an Alternate Audio First & Foremost, because the play by play guy for the sabres, rick jeneret??
Man that guy is Horrible & hurts the ears!!!!! Why the hell do they keep paying that guy, He makes Dogs Howl & Ears bleed...

Hockey in HD certainly lives up to all the hype. I can't believe how awesome it is. I can't wait to see my Blues in HD.

Personally never cared for hockey myself ( guess that comes with living in Florida) however seeing it in HD can change your mind. The few times I cought a game in HD was great looking. Also the Bruins game today looked great ( only saw a couple of minutes) Yep love me some of this new HD.

gonna take ALOT more than a game in HD for me to like hockey just could never get into it but a GREAT sign for NBA LP since IMO the nba is the better sport =]

Does versus have a separate channel for hd games? Or is it the same channel? Are all versus games in HD?
