so I bought another one how do I get all of my saved games from the old one to the new one? I figured out how to migrate my live membership. Do I need a memory card or something to transfer my saved games over? It is a huge amount of saved games.

I am guessing you have the hard drive. Just remove it from the old one and put it on the new one.

There's a couple of ways. If you went from a core or premium to an elite you can actually send ms a letter and theyll send you a one time kit to transfer everything from your existing hard drive to the new one. The only caveat to this is they want the serial number off your old one and new one, so you would have to shell out the cash for the new system up front before selling your old one. Plus wait the couple of weeks for the kit to come in the mail.

If the hard drive in the new one is the same size as your old one then you could just do like cracker said and attached your old hd to the new console.

Or you could buy one of the 360 memory cards and stick everything on it, then copy it to your new one. But if you're using the hard drive for all your save games then the money for the memory card could probably be better spent on a new game. ;)

I've seen transfer kits being sold at Best Buy for cheap. Otherwise you could just swap drives.

There are kits sold in stores, perhaps by pelican even that allows you to transfer all of your saved game material to your pc and then back again. I am pretty sure they are like 20 or 30 bucks.

Screw that!!
Call Microsoft and have them send you one. If your old one broke down, then request a kit be sent to you free of charge. Just act respectful and knowledgeable and you'll have a very good chance that they'll send you one.
Good luck!

Can I ask- how/why do you think your 360 is "dropping dead"?

Just swap the harddrive, easy as pie.

to add to Glow's, also, you say you bought a new one....why not have MS fix your old one for free? Unless you needed to upgrade for some reason anyway.
