dtv does not supply local hd in my Jackson, MS. area. I was turned down on the wavier to get east or west coast channels. I have an OTA, so I do get the locals in hd off the antenna, but some of them fade. Anything I can do to get them through dtv? Will my locals soon be offered as more dtv satellites come on line?

After Directv11 is ready to go next spring, D* will have capacity for 1,500 local HD channels, and can start adding new cities.

I would suggest replacing your antenna with a better (higher gain) model to stop the fade. OTA HD is always much better than locals from the sat provider because they are not compressed by the sat provider. If you have the best antenna then add an amplifier.
