I have a WD62627 62" DLP HDTV. Everywhere I read this unit is capable of 1080p; however I can't seem to get it to do so. Anyone have this set that can help me? Is there a software update or anything that helps?

You will need to be more specific. First of all, nothing is in 1080p except the High Def DVD players, and I am not even sure if both of those formats will go 1080P. Some of the tv stations are 1080i. And my DVD player will upscale to 1080i. But nothing is broadcast in 1080p. What are you looking at that you are expecting to be in 1080p?

X-box 360 and PS 3 for example.

Also, what I have read says this model uses "Plush 1080p" to upscale 1080i signals, but I don't see that either.

Like the above poster stated, the only devices that can push 1080p content to your TV is an HD DVD or Blue Ray player. Your TV will convert whatever it is fed to 1080p resolution.

I guess I don't understand what you mean by you don't see that either?

I have the same TV, and the tv automatically upgrades the signal, but there is no onscreen mode for the plush1080 program. It's working, even though it doesn't say it.:o My 1080p hddvd's look and sound incredible

When i try to selrct 1080p on my xbox 360 the xbox signal gets all scrambled. Has anyone else experienced this? how can i get my wd-62627 to accept my 1080p signal from my xbox 360?

Welcome to the forum ecyoral :hithere:

Since this display is from 2005, it most likely does not even accept a 1080p signal despite being a 1080p display. That is just how they made them back then and there is no way to change that.

And it is also likely that it could be a HDCP issue with your TV being of that generation.
