:hithere: I received a Sony RM-VL600 Sony Universal Remote Control as a gift for Mothers Day, after complaining about owning way too many remote controls, but I had just purchased myself a Logitech Harmony a few days beforehand. I hate returning things without receipts, and so here I have this brand new, untouched, in a perfectly sealed package remote that has a pretty good rating on another similar forum exclusively about remote controls! It retails for $25.99, so I'll ask $20, and of course, no tax. I can mail it out via First Class with Delivery Confirmation for around $2.

This is a learning remote, where you can point your old remote at it and program this one to do what that one did. It even includes a code for DirecTV's HR-20. It handles up to 8 components and a dozen macros.

Any questions? Please email me at [email protected]

I haven't tried this one because I'm so happy with my Harmony, but if you want info on the remote control forum I learned about it in initially, let me know.

The only trouble you might have is alot of places sell this remote for $19.99.

So unless you try to sell it for at least half of that, so someone with the shipping would save $7.99 and the tax(maybe $2.00?).

Although I think if I were you I would return it for a full refund, almost all stores like Circuit city will refund if you recieved it as a gift without a sales slip.

Maybe the mouse has left the house?

If she did too bad, she could probably learn somethings here on the forum.

Hope she comes back. :hithere:

Nope it seems she (or maybe he?) has left the forum after a couple of quick postings.

Did anyone buy her/his remote?

The reason I say she/he is because she started one of her posts with "d00d" (does that sound like something a mother would post?)

Mouse is gone forever, I wonder if her remote was a stolen one?

It sounded like one of those scam deals that are always cropping up on eBay and even here sometimes.

Things that make me go hmmmm?
