Help! Can't figure out how to connect HD VGA xbox 360 cable to my Phillips lcd dvi-i

I'm quite new at this. I've tried hooking up my xbox 360 VGA HD cable to the dvi-i port of my phillips tv model 32PF3320 using the VGA to DVI-I adapter (with 3 rows of 8 pins each). However, everytime it indicates that it does not support video whenever I switch on the xbox 360. Quite frustrating as I have no clue how many types of dvi there are. I'm seeing one that came with my tv that has 2 rows with 2 on the top row, none in the middle and 2 at the bottom row. If there is anyone who knows how I should do this I would really appreciate your help greatly.

It could just be that the TV doesn't support the resolution you have the 360 set to. Check the manual and see what VGA resolutions it supports through that connector. Then using component or another connection, set the 360 accordingly.

I agree, your resolution is set too high.
