TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR 08 TEES OFF WITH EA SPORTS GAMERNET AND PHOTO GAME FACE

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 12, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 08 will be breaking new ground with two key features. EA SPORTS™ GamerNet* is a revolutionary game play system driven by interactive user created content. It allows gamers to save their amazing shots, holes or rounds, and post the content online for other users to compete against. In addition, players can now use Photo Game Face* to generate photo-realistic game characters with no artistic skill required, by uploading photos.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 will be produced by the EA Tiburon in Orlando, FL which is best known for the award winning Madden NFL Football and NCAA Football® franchises.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR is the world’s #1 selling golf video game franchise. With the EA SPORTS GamerNet system, players will be able to challenge creator posted content and be rewarded with online points. Utilizing Photo Game Face, players can take their created characters and style, dress, and accessorize themselves through the game’s already deep customization systems.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 will be available on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system, the PlayStation®2 and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and PC.

I rented Tiger Woods for the Wii thinking it would be a souped up version of Wii Sports golf. No, no, no. It was horrible. So glad I rented before I bought.

I hoped they made it better for the Wii version this go around.

Great!! Another distraction for the folks at Tiburon or should I say another excuse for them to do a piss poor job at improving Madden & NCAA because they've been tasked with a fourth game.

from the looks of it ncaa is looking awsome. i sure hope they fix madden. it would be embaressing if the new take2 football game rated higher then madden. hell the EA v.p. has already stated nba 2k would never score higher then nba live again. show there already embarressed enough.

as for tiger woods golf im looking forward to it on the ps3. it was supposed to look slightly better on the ps3 last year (after all EA was in full support of sony and put most of there development into ps3 games back then. i wonder if anything has changed since with all the back talk toward sony EA has been doing lately). maybe i should just wait for the ratings and see whats what.

I'm boycotting EA Sports until they completely rebuild some of the tired old titles from the ground up and move into the next generation for real....2k for me!

im a EA hater myself but that is what EA did a few years back. that is why so many of there games took a step back. they started to use a new engine and now there just getting over that hump of getting the most out of it.

the reason i hate ea is the labor practices and how make one statment on day then change it the next (just like sony but not nearly as often). once EA learns there new game engine there games will take off but that usualy takes a few years.
