Funny to see some of the old sets. Brings back memories:

That was really neat.
In addition to LG HDTV, I rep Crosley Appliances. It was something seeing that 1948 Crosley TV (slide 13).
Kewl!

Many here are probably too young but I remember our first TV back in 1949..similar to the Crosley shown. My dad was always big on getting the latest technology so we had one of the first TV's on the block. At the time we got about 2 channels and were thrilled. I remember all the people who said TV was just another fad and would never last.....and those that held off because they were "waiting for color"....which never really became affordable until the early 60's..We got our first color set in 1963...another revelation....HDTV is another continuation...who knows what this forum will be talking about in 2049...I plan to be around to join in the discussion...

Bring fond memories of the sets I've seen in my life.. Back in the days of the "light organ's" I built a whole wack using CRT's in which the dot danced to the music ala yoke coils. The spot being generated by a car ignition coil... Most of the CRT's were of the 'round type' picked up from the basement of a TV repair place, the best ones had radar tube persistence.
