While the video is real (didn't take much to figure that out - just look at the gamertag - its a launch team user), what we don't know is if that is all that is included.

Second, in the link provided, they don't really state where the info comes from. So we don't know if all of that is included and/or if there is more.

I guess we'll find out when MS makes an official announcement.

And I don't understand exactly what everyone expects. Its not like every single update is going to revolutionize the way we game or can interact with the 360.

I actually think it looks like a pretty cool update. Now I don't have to run back and forth to my computer to chat with windows live. And I'm tired of having to download a whole entire trailer to watch any of it. Some times I just want to peek at the first five seconds of it to see if it really deserves any of my 360's hard drive space.

Hopefully never - we don't need it. I'd rather see them spend time on things that will benefit us much more. Browsing from the console won't be the same as it is from a PC.

Agreed. I like to do my web browsing and email from my PC...period. I don't mind if a console is connected to my PC, but to be one master entertainment centre might be abit too much. I want my gaming console to play games, to concentrate on that and be good at it. I don't mind paying for extras, but they better have something to do with gaming, and be able to be used now with current technology, not sometime down the road.

Why shouldn't we have a web browser??? It would be easy to make and though websurfing on the pc maybe more preferred many people would like to surf the web on their big screen tv withough having to plug in their computer. Also, you can already connect a keyboard to the 360 "I leave one connected in for text chatting really fast." I personally think the more updates they make the cooler it will be.

I heard that this update was supposed to add DTS support to increase the bandwidth available for decoding the HD-DVD's audio formats. That's the way the standalone HD-DVD players decode over optical audio now. Does anyone know if this is still going to happen? Didn't see it on the list of features in the article.

i have been trying out the web browser on my ps3. while its fun at first its not the same as my pc. it has some advantages like having the pic blown up over a 50" screen but like i said it just not as fun after a little while.

This is what most people don't realize. They just think it would be sooooo cool. Browsing is just not meant to be done on the big screen.

I'd also bet if everyone listed out all the features they'd like to see added, web browsing would not be #1 on their list.

Ya, it's pretty sweet for sites like youtube and stuff.

What I don't understand is why everyone thinks being able to browse the internet on a console would be that interesting. Sure it might be convenient to just look something up really quickly, but its also going to have a lot of limitations in what you can do. I would like to see one in the X360 because I believe the X360 might have the smallest limitations of all the consoles due to its 512mb of unified memory. However, its not like its very hard to just flip on my laptop, or turn on my desktop.

I can't wait to try chatting with my friends over MSN messenger as thats what all my friends use.

its actualy all windows live messenger now. you can transfer aim, msn, and other instant messanger accounts and combine them into windows live. i dont even think the actual msn messenger works anymore since i had to update to live for me to even sign in a few months back.
