Specs sound very similar to the Samsung 81 series LCDs announced back in January. Something tells me both are going to be shipping this summer, so it will be interesting to see one vs. the other.

Nice to see the HDMI 1.3 spec, but do we have any current HD content that's filmed or broadcast with the deep color spec?

No, but even if we did, AFAIK, although the Sony's do support a deeper color space (10-bit/color), they still don't support full Deep Color (16-bit/color).

Does anyone have a set out that does?

Could swear I saw a Samsung specs that said 10 bit.

There's an old marketing trick that may or may not be at play here. The video processing engine COULD process color at 10 bit's/color but not the panel itself. They could still CLAIM 10 bit color!

Still, it's mostly moot until we know exactly what kinds of color depths are transmitted by each potential source. AND there's always claimed vs. actual.
