I can't imagine HD doing much for south park, but maybe they'll base the episode with some comedy on HD.

I agree, but perhaps it will start a trend...I can dream cant I?

Maybe South Park isn't the best candidate, but it's nice to see more and more shows going to HD.

IDk guys...have any of you DL'd it yet. I think it made worlds of difference. Atleast for my situation here,I have to watch eithr on Comedy Central or late night on CW...neither are HD broadcasts and frankly the SD sucks from both these channels. I would say its much cleaner looking and fills up screen without looking stretched or anything. Also the colors look much better...all in all,Im pleased, especially for FREE

I DL it tonight. I think youre right that it is well converted to the wide screen format. I have most of the south park recent season DL from xbl, and I kept this sd episode on the 360 to compare to this free hd version. Colors are improved, but I doubt I would ever spend the money to get this budget cartoon in hd. Its a hillarious show, but they intentionally dont spend much on the animation (and I think thats part of its charm). I think thats what colt and I were eludeing to...I know thats what I first thought. Was it an improvement? Of course. Will I continue to download the sd versions when/if the hd versions come available? Yes, its sd only for me, I wouldnt spend more to get such simple animation with better colors and a little better clarity.

Now, will I continue to download the HD version of a movie when its available? Count on it.

Oh certainly...if they could offer them at the same as SD but yea I doubt that..

I got it, it was nice, it filled the screen which is the main thing. I don't know if PQ was improved, I've downloaded several SP episodes and most are pretty crisp as it is. The main difference is that it is now in widescreen so no more side bars.

It was free which is a bonus. I didn't care for that particulare episode though.

Anyone know what season the scientology episode is in and if it is availible on XBL marketplace????

i thought it was pretty funny. I agree the HD looked good with the full screen filled, however it wasn't a huge improvement over the sd. How HI DEF can you get with a simple cartoon....AND 1gb for 22 minutes-this little 20gb drive is really getting worked over lately.

As a parent who spends half his waking life watching Spongebob with his daughter, I bet I could tell a big difference if Nickelodeon was in HD.
