Any deals on the HR20-700 for HR10-250 owners?

Here's my story. I signed up for Directv in August. I was trying to hold out until they got the HR20-700 but I wanted Sunday Ticket and they had a great deal so I signed up. I begged and pleaded for a free HD Tivo but to no avail since I was a new customer. So I paid $300 for the HR10-250. Now of course the HR20-700's are out and Id love to get my hands on one. But there is no way Im paying $300 again since I just paid $300 in August. Since Im a new customer I dont have much leverage and I dont have much of an account history. Any deals out there for me? Any way I can get it for $100 or for free?

I'm in almost the same situation as you. I was an existing subscriber but in August I upgraded to the 5 lnb dish in hopes to get my RSNs (NESN, SNY, and YES) in HD. Any D* subscriber in CT can tell you how that one worked out. Anyway, my advice is to mention you just paid $300 for the 10-250 and would like to swap it for the 20-700. Mention that you are a ST subscriber and if you're a Premier and/or HD subscriber mention that also. Tell them you don't mind if they pro-rate the cost since it's only been a few months anyway. You will likely get a discount either initially or after a few calls.

Good luck not being an older customer.

Why the rush if MPEG4 channels are not a concern to you?
