Sup Guys, I'm shopping around for a LCD Flat Panel TV and altho i'm use too watching a 53" Projection Big Screen, I'll have to get it a little smaller as anything over 50" HDTV is way too expensive. Let me know what you guys think of this 47" LCD?....

It doesn't state the response time in the specs. I would make sure it is at least 12ms. Lots of the new ones now are 6 or 8ms. You need this for fast action or sports, otherwise you could end up with trailing or ghosting. ;)

I think this is a nice set "for the money". I did get to see this set side by side with a Sony XBR. At first sight, the XBR just blew the Westy completely away, but maybe that was just one of those "unfair adjustment" things, as I talked one of the workers into doing some adjustments on the Westy, while I chose the settings. After a bit, we had the Westy looking a lot closer to the PQ of the Sony XBR. I mean to say, the Sony still looked deeper, and less hazy.... But come on, we are talking about the difference between a $1995, to a $3300 set.

I'd say, if you could buy it at a Costco, or a Sam's Club (where I saw it) you would have nothing to lose. If you got it home and it worked great, and looked great to you, then you got a great deal. On the other hand, if it ended up "just not not doing it for you" whether it actually failed on you or not, you could always bring it back for an exchange / upgrade at any time later.
Also, I have to believe that as time goes on, CC a SC will be getting a better and better selection of flat panel TV's, with 1080p becoming the norm.

Peace,
Fish

Thanks for the replies, I went ahead and purchased this 47" online thru Best Buy along with the Service Plan of course for a total of $2407.48. I think for the price i can't complain at all. With free delivery i will get it on Thursday. Comparing the prices out there for a 46" and bigger LCD HD 1080p, i got a sweet deal for the price. Let's see if it's a peice of crap when i get it lol, j/k. I went tonite to Best Buy and saw the 42" sister tv for this 47" and it looks sweet, crystal clear images, i am totally pleased with the price for the size. Thanks guys.

It has speakers. Two 10-watt speakers and a 10-watt sub-woofer.

It has speakers, I know about the non tuner, but i have comcast digital cable and have no plans to change from that at all, so i'll use that. For the price tho i can live with that. Also being that it's a monitor, if i ever wanted to use it as a monitor, it'll come in handy lol.
