I just came across this LCD at newegg.com recertified for 320$. Some reviews have been bad, but most others have a been good. However, I am wondering if it is true HD. The max resolution is only 480p, which if I am right is only EDTV. However, it specifically says it is an HDTV television, 16:9 widescreen. I own a Dell 37" HDTV and am wondering if this TV will be able to display channels like Discovery HD with the HD box as well. I am just curious as this is THE cheapest tv in its size range, has 1600:1 contrast and has a VGA cable so I can hook it up to my computer. Any help is appreciated

If it's max res is 480p than it's not HD. It can still be capable of receiving an HD signal, but will downconvert to 480p. What's the model #?

I found a different version of the television, obviously this is the newer one because its on olevia.com, http://www.pcrush.com/prodspec.asp?ln=1&itemno=83039&refid=1050
This is the cheapest place to buy it, and its only 364$! This one does go up to 1080i, so is this a good deal?

If they have a solid return policy...then buy it and see if you're pleased. You can always send it back if you're disappointed.
