I put the Red, Green, Blue cables into the hdtv input on the tv for my dvd, but you can see it but it's red. Any reason as to why?? Thanks

Recheck the connections again...make sure theyre connected to the corresponding colors. Try another component input, etc.

1) Make sure you have the cables plugged into the corresponding jacks (red to red, blue to blue and green to green--despite the color coding, Component Video is not usually an RGB signal but rather consists of color difference and brightness information). If the cables are not plugged into the correct jacks, the image will not have the proper colors.

2) Make sure you have enabled the Component Video outputs on your DVD player (in the player's menu system--also some players have a mechanical switch on the back). Most players default to Composite Video output with the Component Video outputs disabled, but because they share circuitry with the Composite Video output, you can still get a picture from them, but, again, it will not have the proper colors.
