Not yet, but you can access them here:

1. TV turned off
2. Press 'Mute' then '182' then 'Power' buttons on the remote.

You are now in the Adjustment mode

4. Use the 'Channel up'or"Channel dwn' to select the category.
5. Use the 'Volume up or dwn' to enter the category.
note:Some models may not have Category Selection.
6. Use the 'Channel up or dwn' buttons to select item to be adjusted.
7. Write down the old value of the item before changing.
8. Use Volume up and down adjust the value.
9. When you have made all the adjustments you want turn the set off to exit.

I asked the same question about 2 weeks ago and got a great spreadsheet from another sammy owner, not the 85 series, and he had separate worksheets for each input. When I am on my other pc I'll attach it here. IF you find the "Tweaked settings" Please let me know here or email at [email protected] I've been looking for the same thing. I'm home for the next few weeks and might have to get a calibration disk just to play around.

Good LUck!

Thanks a million Doug! I'm still looking for the tweaks also. I must say though that I used the DVE disk and the DVD picture is the most unbelieveable thing I have seen and easily rivals HD on this set. It took about an hour to get the settings right and I have listed mine for you below. I can see each and every pore on Wesley Snipes face in "Blade". I mean really, HOLY COW!!!! And I'm not even using an upconversion DVD player, just a cheap little Pioneer DV-260 progressive scan. These settings are simply PERFECT on my HL-P5685W! Everyone who comes in and sees a DVD playing on this set will actually stop in their tracks, stop talking, stare intently jaw open and turn to me and say Oh my God, that picture is absolutrly amazing! Anyway, goodluck!

Using Component 2 for DVD input:
Contrast : 65
Brightness: 51
Sharp: 6
Color : 65
Mode: Standard
Color Tone: Normal

Thanks for sharing!!!

I'll have to try after I watch COLLATERAL

right now I have my DVD player via HDMI and my HD STB via Component.

The hd stb is:
contrast 70
brightness 70
sharp 65
color 65
Mode: standard

component 2: DVD
Standard
75
72
65
47

But, the hd stb is shiny at times and the dvd can be dark, but is VERY close.

How hard was it to tweak with the VE disk?

The DVE disk is kinda tricky, the test patterns are not very well explained but it made HUGE difference for my DVD settings!! The PQ is simply UNREAL, seriously, I just can't say enough. Thanks for sharing as well, I'm going to give yours a shot for the STB, I'm not terribly happy with mine, I think I can get them better. Drives my wife crazy changing the settings all the time, hehehehe :-) Thanks again and I'll talk to ya later.

Hi

My samsung 5685 won't go into the service menu any longer. With power off, I hit mute 1 8 2 then power on. It used to work but won't now. Does anyone have any ideas. I pulled the power to try to get the set to reset, but no change

thanks

I think you need to make sure you don't have signal into your TV input. Mine was going to the Verizon FIOS default screen "saver" and I had to disconnect the input for the menu to stay up.
