Are these acceptable settings?

Just purchased a Hitachi 51f59 model TV. Here are the picture settings I currently have:

picture mode- day
contrast- 100%
brightness- 50%
color- 50%
sharpness- 50%
color temp- standard
every other enhancement set to medium
also noise reduction is set to off.

Are these settings risk free of image burn-in?:)

Contrast should be brought way down to around 50, maybe bump the brightness up to make up for it to around 60. Sharpness to zero. I don't know what "other enhancements" are, but generally they should be off. If you have a "warm" temp setting use it, and being a CRT you can have burn-in so stretch the pic or do not let the TV stay in 4:3 mode or with the same image displayed for hours on end.

"ZEE" is correct in reducing the contrast (white level).

Your CRT RPTV, is susceptable to burn in with your current settings. Station logos (solid type) and 4:3 bars will cause problems.

Check the FAQ's on "What you should do to your new TV".

A good display. Treat it well.

Good Viewing,
