Stanley Cup Finals

Anyone watch the Stanley Cup on NBC HD last night? Is it just me or is the picture not quite right? To me it looked like I was watching a network movie that happened to have scenes at a hockey game. Not the crisp, sharp, almost too vivid that it hurts your eyes picture that all the other sports in HD have. Not a bad picture, just a different look. Very weird! Baseball games on ESPN HD last night were perfect.

I agree. It was a bit off last night...

Count your blessings. Here in Seattle, they aren't showing the game on regular NBC...it's on their affiliated local station, 16. Plus, it's not even in HD even though the station broadcasts digitally and I get it OTA. So weak but shows you what most people think about hockey out here.

I have noticed the picture to be slightly grainy as well, but I noticed it each night that NBC has shown it.

Still better than SD though.

I hope the Sunday night football looks better.

Is it Sunday night, I keep getting my days mixed up since they change the NFL channels...

I agree, much better than SD and really not a bad picture. Just odd looking.

That probably has something to do with the lack of interest. As of today, if the Finals ended with the current Nielsen ratings, it would be the worst rated show in TV history.

On average, only 1.2 M people in the entire nation have been tuned in at one time.

That's pretty sad.

You are correct. Sunday night is NBC and Monday is now ESPN.
