Component Cables Too Long?

I had a big 53" RP CRT TV and needed the 9' cables. Now I am Plasma and need only 4' to 6' runs.
Would I benifit with shorter ones? I would like the routing to be neater than all that extra cable.
Is it OK to coil them up and band them?
Anyone want to trade out?

If you want tidy cables, you can buy shorter ones, but you shouldn't notice any problems if you coil the cables. Quality component cables are shielded, so coiling them won't have any effect on picture quality.

You wont notice any difference in PQ from 6ft to 12ft component cable runs. You may see a PQ difference is say 25ft or longer runs.
