Just received a postcard in the mail from D* stating order Sunday Ticket and receive SuperFan for Free. Thoughts on this one...

IMHO nobody wants to pay an extra $50 to $100 on top of the $200 to see the nfl in hd. It's a flop, D* is no better then the bid cable co. now. They are a fat bloted money sucking machine.

I have been tempted to get the ST and now with the added SuperFan it is even more tempting. But when I switched to HD a few months ago, I was told that the interactive feature doesn't work on the HR 10-250 (which it certainly doesn't). So how can someone use the interactive SF feature on a HD receiver? They really push the fact that all or most of these games are broadcast in HD. Is the D10 an HD receiver? Did I confuse myself?? It wouldn't be the first time. The discussions on this forum are invaluable to us new guys.
Thanks

We're you a subscriber to the ticket and SF last year? I was and they told me the SF was free this year because I paid for it last year and the reciever wasnt interactive. Just curius to see if everyone is getting SF for free this year.

This is going to be another one of those D* mess ups.

-Some people got e-mails about the free SF offer.

-Some got post cards.

-Some received nothing.

-Some received both.

-Some were long time NFLST subscribers. Many other long time NFLST subs got nothing.

CSR told me that if you pay for it before 4/30, that SF will "automatically" be added to your account.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Well here's the answer I got when I inquired about the SuperFan deal.

Thanks for writing. Installment billing for NFL Sunday Ticket Autorenew begins in June or July depending on your billing cycle. Customers who had 2005 SuperFan will get credit toward the 2006 SuperFan price. The credit amount is based on what they paid last season ($49 or $99). Credit will be applied after 2006 SuperFan is autorenewed. NFL Sunday Ticket subscription is required to purchase SuperFan.

Thanks again for writing. For more SuperFan details, you can visit DIRECTVSports.com/NFL.

Sincerely,
Ernie

No, I had ST several years ago but cancelled due to my wife's DIY projects she had me involved with. I don't think I'll go with it this year either, there are projects I want to get done... garage & basement... all mine. :yippee:
