I bought BenQ720p mainly for my home theater and gaming .Quality, value and brightness are excellent! It's very quiet, more quiet than my previous projector. Projecting on a 80" screen, decent DVD's and Hi Def signal looks stunning. It works extreamly well in bright rooms. the picture is sharp. I have it hooked up to regular cable TV, satellite Fta box Coolsat receiver and LG 7832 dvd player (upconverton to 480p, 720p, 1080i) as well.
I paid 1240 Can$.

What's the model number? Since it's 720p, you should definitely consider buying a HD-DVD or Bluray player in the near future. I should be getting one by end of year. :)

I'm currently experiencing difficulty hooking up my x-box to my BenQ MP720P projector, through High Def (1080i). The only output on my x-box that is for High Def is component. Yet my projector doesn't have a component input.. it has:

-Analog RGB: D-sub 15 pin x 1
-DVI-I (shared with wireless module)
-Component video: D-sub 15 pin x 1(Shared)
-S-Video: Mini Din 4 pin x 1
-Composite video: RCA x 1
-PC audio: Stereo mini jack x 1 (shared)
-L/R audio: Stereo mini jack x 1 (shared)

Which input is the best for 1080i.? and how would I convert component to it ?

Any suggestions would help..

I'm a bit confused...you state that it doesn't have component input, yet you list component in your options available and Projector Central (http://www.projectorcentral.com/BenQ-MP720p.htm) lists component video available?

BTW, this is a 1024x768 (XGA) PJ so it's not really an HD PJ. While it accepts 720p and 1080i input signals, they get down converted to the native XGA resolution.

Ok, Maybe I wasn't so clear in my description.. I'm trying to hook up my xbox to my projector using the xbox's Component output (Y, Pr, Pb) (Green, Blue, Red)

Yet my Projector doesn't have these inputs.. only the ones I listed above.. Is there a way I can convert it? If so which one would give me the best picture quality...

You can replace your console with an elite and use a hdmi to dvi cable...but I doubt it will improve picture quality.

These go up to 75' if your console is in a differnt room from your projector:

Thats just a link to show you the cable from one of the best for cables (I use two 75' stsi cables myself, one is a component, the other is a hdmi). You can go directly to their web site if you dont want to use ebay.

Dont forget this as you will need to splice this cable into you xbox component cable:
