Just wondering if anyone has been able to get a discount on MLB EI package and if yes , how ? I think that the going price is a little high

The only discount was 20 bucks off the 179.99 if you ordred before April 2. You may get it half price come the midpoint of the schedule.

Yes and as a New DirectTV user, most of MLB games are not HD, Like Nesn, I want to see Boston Games in CA. I am getting Local Channels in HDef. It seem pretty stupid, that a network that is all Hdef, like NESN, can't put their games on DTV, in out of Market States,
in HDef. It looks like the Yankees have something to so with this.

I have to argue that the Yankees have nothing to do with it. Truth be told, I'm a huge Sox fan and hate the Yankees. But although some are claiming that all (or most of) the Yankees games have been on one of the channels in the 90s, I haven't received any here in Seattle. It seems like the HD games you receive are determined by the region you live in. Last year, we got a ton of Mariners games in HD and I assume that will resume once the Sonics games are done and FSN can reallocate cameras.

Sox fan here in Baltimore. None of the Orioles games are in HD, unless if by chance they appear on ESPN.

It would be really nice if they would let people choose which region they want to watch.

All Yankee home games are going to be in HD and 27 road games in HD.

The Yankee games will be in HD only if your in the Yankees region. I dont believe out of markets will get them. Also Im not sure if Dtv is going to carry the yankee away games in Hd. None of the Nets games on the road were carried by DTv, even though YES network broadcast them in HD . This is still all a guessing game as to what we will actually get to see in HD

Riddler's right. The Yankees have already played at home and I have received none of the games in HD. Sure would have been nice to see a clearer, sharper version of the Big Unit's meltdown last night.

Those 3 games vs the Royals were in HD last week on channel 95.

Doug30 -- they were on channel 95 wherever you live. I live in Seattle and they were not on my channel 95...but my guide is promising the Dodgers-DBacks game tonight.

That's odd why those three game would have been showing in Michigan but not in Seattle. I guess you know they were on at 10:00 am in Seattle. What did it say, program not available in your area?

All three games were day games.I think that is the reason they were on(no NBA HD in the day).

I would sure like to see the option to pick the broadcast of my choice ie: home/away. They do this with the radio package on the internet. Lets face it most people buying this package are doing it to follow a certain out of market team and would like to listen to that teams broadcast.

I would also like to be able to watch the reruns. On a day game if I don't tape it I can't watch it when I get home from work. This has to be the most foolish policy ever.

Actually, there was nothing listed in the guide and yeah, i did know they were on early. D* is strange. Here in Seattle, we get all of the Sonics games in HD on channel 95 but I'm sure they're not shown all over the country.

Yeah I have not seen Sonics all the time on channel 95. Mostly Nets.

Just to update...Got Dodgers/DBacks on Friday, Yanks-Orioles on Sat. and Sun. and the guide says the Cardinals game is on tonight. Nice to see more games coming on in HD, that's for sure.

The way it's being done is ridiculous. The yankees and Red Sox have, by far, the two largest fan bases in the world.

Yet, not one Red Sox game has yet to air in the 90's (all 162 broadcast by nesn in hd), yet I can tune in to the Giants to watch Barry Bonds take his steroid hacks at the ball.

It stinks.
