Just stumbled in out of the cold.

Set up my Sony the other day and am looking for some good advice on how to get the most out of it. So far I can't believe that it took me this long to get on the high def band waggon. Oh well.
Going to snoop around for a while before I start asking questions that have been asked a thousand times before. Obviously I'll need a new dvd player, ohhh the spending.
My feed is from a Starchoice dish and a hd tuner, good but not great, I think that they only have 13 hd selections.

Quick pic of the set up, only ten minutes old at this point.

With an easter theme and all. :hithere:

if your looking for a dvd player check out this one. it may seem like a no name brand but it is getting great reviews from everyone. plus its not to expensive. or you can wait for hddvd and bluray which should be out soon. but there expensive. roughly $500 for hddvd player and $1000 for a bluray player.

Yup, it's the 50 inch. We sit just far back enough that it's just right for the room. Any bigger would be too much (is that possible?) So far I'm very happy with it, but am still sorting out some teething problems.

Having some setup trouble with my satellite provider and the hd feed. Seems that there's a component on my dish that's old enough that it's not receiving the hd signal. It's being changed out on Wednesday.

if you dont mind, can you take some more pics of your setup at different angles? Im really interested in this tv but dont know if i wanna go with the 60" or the 50". 60" is another $800 or so which i dont have right now but i can wait for a month or so to get it. Some pics would help make my decsion.
