Just a quick question. Got my first HDTV a few weeks back and wondering if I should buy the HDMI to HDMI cable. Does it make a huge difference over component or should I jsut not worry? Its a 56 sammy dlp with HD Directv. THX

Since the price of cables is so reasonable when buying on-line I would get one. Many cannot tell much of a difference but it's there for a reason so you may as well use the connection and save the component connections for some future use, or you may find a future use for the HDMI connection. At least you'll have the cable when you need it.

You can also always return the cable if you didn't notice any difference on your set. :)

Yes, you can get 6' HDMI-HDMI cabels on ebay for ~$10. I have the vip622 and did notice a better picture using the HDMI cable. Sice HDMI is a (1) cable solution it will reduce cable clutter. For the price, HDMi cables are less expensive than good component cables. Since the picture and sound are digital everything looks and sound a little better. Just my $0.02.
