I want to transfer movies and shows from my Tivo hard drive to a samsung dvd burner. I connected the (yellow, red, and white) from output on the tivo to input 1 on the samsung. But I only get sound but no video output. Any ideas?

I would not expect anything less from a pathetic Noles fan?

Your Samsung DVD burner isn't capable of HD. You must set your Tivo ouput to 480i to get the video. Went through all that with my Sony burner and finally figured it out. Soon they should be producing HD burners when they battle out the two formats.

I doubt if the new HD-DVD or BlueRay format's will work with D* or any other broadcast HD.

Check and see what input you have selected for on your recorder. I have no trouble recording on my sony dvd recorder. I have to use the super vhs output of the HD section of the 622 to the svhs input of the recorder. then I had to use the remote to tell it to activate input3 as svhs and not composite.
It does a good job as the 622 down converts to siginal for the svhs output before it gets to the recorder, but much resolution is lost.
I thought dvd;s were just great until I got the 622 and now they are not that great anymore. I think I am going to drop my gold package and drop down to the 50 dollar one and then add HBO Hd for the money savings. I hardly watch anything but hd anymore it all looks so blah.. Dave.
