Does anyone have some sites that have any outdoor enclosure boxes to hold some 5x8 Multiswitches?

Thanks in advance

Suggest you could wrap them in plastic and duct tape.

Actually I have found it very effective to use silicone caulk around all the connectors, really keeps the water out and prevents corrosion.

But if you really want to put it in an enclosure, home depot or lowes should have an electrical j-box that would work.

Here is a picture of how I handled the water proofing issue.

Used terminators on unused ports, high quality coax connectors ,and a dab of silicone clear caulk (if you look closely) around the back of the coax connectors.

I hade a problem with loosing satellites, channel not found issues and have not had a problem since. A work of art if I must say. :)

Thanks all...

Rick, That is the same multi-switch I have, Do you think a 10x10x4 box would be large enough to hold that switch and the cables?

you would need enough room to loop the wires around the box comfortably...no stress on connectors and stress on cables.

Do you really need a box though?

Can you arrange a service call thru customer retention and have directv take care of it for you. Do what I did.

I probably don't need a box, but it will be located just below my dish on the chimeny of my townhouse, so it is open to the sun, rain and wind. Looking around, the box really isn't that expensive so it is mainly asthetic and the extra protection can't hurt.

OK sounds good.

terminate the unused ports still if not already done so.
