I feel your pain. I haven't looked into it, but I'm sure it's all about the $. So many cameras all over the course and to go HD with all of them would cost a ton. I'll bet next year it gets better.

I would think the networks would be the place to go to complain about the lack of HD. I think I'll join you.

Masters will be in HD though, and it will be great to see.

Thus far in the brief history of HD only CBS has taken on the challenge of doing a live golf event. About two years ago on the CBS website they posted a schedule of all the golf tournaments they would be presenting in HD for that season. They started out with the Masters and then did the MCI Heritage Classic. There were a total of about 12 or 13 events that were supposed to be in HD according to their schedule. Don't know what happened but only those first two actually were. And last year I believe only the Masters was in HD. Since NBC has proved they can do major far flung events with the Olympics, makes you wonder why they haven't done the US Open (or ABC the PGA - or vice versa, I forget which had which). As the golf season starts to warm up we can hope that all three networks will rise to the HD challenge.
