Mega March Maddening

I splurged for the first time this year to get the March Madness package. I think DTV needs to do some more homework on this. They continue to black out games that I cannot get locally, yet show other games that are also coming in locally. Sometimes the SD version of a game works while the HD doesn't. There was even a game where I had the blue banner that said I could not get the game blocking the actual picture of the game! They need to get their act together.

Anyone else going through these frustrations?

I had no problems...the only games blacked out were the ones that my local CBS was showing, otherwise no issues. The game mix channel was cool to watch when more than one closely matched game was ongoing.

I didn't sign up for the package for that reason. The local would jump to a different region, but D* wouldn't open up the feed for the game that they jumped away from. It got very annoying to pay for watching 2 different games on 2 different channels.

It would have been better if they could show the four games with no jumps or interruptions, start to finish, and let the free local jump around, or if they showed all of the HD games in HD. My local (Detroit) is multicasting all of the games (good), but can't show any of the games in HD because of it (bad). Saved $59, even though they are all SD. Soon enough the "package" will probably be 4 simultaneous HD games, something that the OTA locals can't provide.

i tried the package a couple of years ago and was disappointed for the many of the reasons stated above. I suggested to D* that they publish what games you will actually be able to get up front as they know what is being blocked out by zip code so all can be clear

As it turns out, i had 15 of the available 16 to me via my local cbs affiliate, sd east and west cbs feeds, and the HD east cbs feed for yesterdays first round games.

I know I'm late with this one but CBS is showin at least 3 different games on my alternate HD channels. All while using my OTA. Of course only one game is in HD but at least I can jusggle 3 games without payin for the Mega mess from D*

Why is it that none of the games have been in HD. Since the tournament started here in AZ. on channel 5.1 CBS HD not a single game has been broadcast in HD. Is it a local problem or is everyone seeing this?

Got to be a local thing. I have one game in HD and that's where I spend most of my time. Do you see any other games on the alternate CBS channels?

Some markets are offering additional games on their sub channes in SD. I read about this station on another forum offering a multi-cast of games. Check out this link http://www.cbs58.com/ Clik on programing notes on the bottom of page.
