Programming Sony Bravia Remote to H20 Receiver

I recently purchased a Sony Bravia KDL V40XBR1.

On Wednesday of this week D* installed a 5LMB and H20.

The technician programmed the H20 remote to the TV.

I want to program Sony remote to the receiver. In the Sony manual under Receiver Manufacturers Codes, there is no code for Direct TV receivers.

I called D* and talked to advanced tech support and they do not have that information, but one said he thought that the DTV receivers were sourced out to some other manufacturer, not actually made by DTV.

If I could program the Sony remote to H20 receiver, would the Sony remote control all the same functions on the receiver that the H20 remote controls?

Does anyone know who the H20 receivers are made by or know what the code is?

Thanks

one advantage to H20 remote is when you turn on the system it will turn on the tv for you with H20 receiver and when turning off it will power off tv and H20 receiver, remote will work with tv volume also, i have harmony remote but with h20 remote i am not using Hrmony remote that much, you can also program your dvd player and A/V receiver and most important is RF on H20. I don't know why you would need to program SONY remote for H20 i would go the otherway around. also u would be using lot of H20 functions which u might not find in SONY remote.

Iserum,

Thanks for the reply, makes sense.

I'll just use the H20 remote.
