Well...I have the opportunity to grab this TV for $2,499 through an employee purchase program. Is it me or is this a GREAT price. I was concerned about all the "bulb" talk but at this price I'd be crazy not to get it....RIGHT?

That does appear to be a great deal! I would jump on it, but can you get an extended warranty that covers lamps/bulbs for several years too through this purchase?

I would look at that option also, but it appears that the price avaiable to you is $1000.00 cheaper than available elsewhere.

Good luck!

that does seem like an outstanding deal. but i would be careful. the bulb issue could kill you in the end. then no matter how little you paid you will feel like you got screwed. get the e.w. and make sure it has unlimited bulb replacements. since you work for some store you can probally get the e.w. for alot cheaper also.

this tvs picture is outstanding. the black around the picture makes the picture pop. and you cant beat the features that are included. so enjoy.

Check One Call. They are authorized dealer and have a great extended warranty.

As you can see below I have one of these. We're very pleased with pic qlty even SD. Is the price you gave with the matching base? Love the swivel base and the extra shelf this model provides over the lower grade sets.

I purchsed in Jan and set with matching base and 5yr EW from GE came to $3200. Local store.

While One call handles the Cinema series, Mx195, they don't sell them on-line. Gotta go into the store to get a price. At least this was true several months ago.

If you get this set you will enjoy it but there are a few minor things that are less than great. The return to last channel button doesn't work, at least on mine, until several stations have been selected via the TV guide. Several other features I use regularly I wish could be accessed easier than throught the nested menue. One thing to know is pic controls are separately for each of the inputs. Take a little more time to get the setting you want but after that, switch inputs and your setting are there for that input.

That is a good price. Oddly enough sears had the set about a month ago for 2540 and an extra 10% off if you used your card. I think that would have made it $2290 which by their standards is an abnormally low price.(though I think it may have been an error in the system, but what they didn't catch isn't the customers fault lol)

yeah sears is usualy higher priced then b.b. and circuit city. they say they will match any price but they dont keep there prices low. i was in sears the other day to look at the sxrd again and the price of the 50 inch model was 4k. thats the highest i have seen anywhere now.

Not doubting you but are you sure it was the MX? I saw about 7 56HM195's which is also a Toshiba 56" 1080p at the Sears outlet for the price your talking about. They were all refurbs and returns. Oddly they had about a total of 10 HDTV's out and 7 were that model:P
