Is it me or has everyone else noticed TNTHD isn't on par with the other hd channels? That includes their sports too.Their bball isn't as clear as espns or other networks broadcasting sports in hd.Plus they list everything in hd regardless.

I've noticed that alot of thier movies seemed to be streched or maybe the zoomed in on the picture but everybody seems to have the top of their heads cut off. I played a dvd of one of the movies they were showing and the sides were cut off compared to the dvd. Is tnthd 720 or 1080?

TNTHD is 1080i and the reason it looks different is because the are upconverting the same shows you see on channel 245 to HD resolution. Also, for "true" HD content like the NBA games, they look like crap because D* is using 1280x1080i resolution which some call HDLite!

I may be wrong on this but.....it appears D* was so moved to come up with new HD content they opted for delivering a zoomed substandard TNT because they have no bandwidth with which to sent us the real thing. I wonder if cable's TNT HD offering is the same.

I noticed the same thing about TNTHD.. thats an embarrasment. If thats HD, they may as well call every channel HD.

Can someone tell me why NO other channels look as good as Discovery HD? The HDnet channels come in a close second. :)

I didn't watch TNT before it was added to HD line up. Programing is rehashed + Comercials BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOring.

Bud Ted Turner doesn't miss me not watching what he likes to show.

So enjoy

Did anybody see fith element last night on tnthd, out of all the movies I saw last night that one actually looked like it should, did anyone else notice that.

TNTHD may not be great, but for the most part it's a pretty big step up from SD. Regarding the content, you can't make silk out of a pigs ear. "The Fifth Elemant" was on last night and looked very nice.

I watched "Twister" on TNTHD on Friday night, and it looked pretty good to me. I switched back to the regular TNT to see, and the difference was tremendous.

I do agree that some HD seems to look better than others, though. Discovery and PBS seem to have the best HD. "LOST" on ABC seems to have a fantastic picture, too. I wonder what the difference is?

I watched Armogedon -sp?last night and I noticed that it looked zoomed in. Picture quaility was sure not HD. I didn't watch fifth element because I thought it would be more of the same.

Armaggedon was cropped thats why it look horrible! They didn't use its OAR!

I don't know why they can't do all the movies the same(money?) but if your going to put them on hd make it worth it.

NBA all star game looked fine to me and the 5.1 surround sound is one of the best, if not the best, of all HD channels........however, they do need to change it to the L and O channel.........talking about HDNET and the others struggling for content, my goodness....does TNT have anything but Law and Order?

does TNT have anything but Law and Order?

Yeah...It's called Charmed

I watched Spiderman in HD, Horrible compared to hen HBO-HD shows it :(

Not only is TNTHD stretched, zoomed and crappy looking on my TV, I'm getting a de-interlacer delay as well. Even in static images I get lines across the screen. Only way I can correct it is by setting my receiver's output to 480i. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Charmed? Like I said, do they have anything else on other than Law and Order? :)
