I was thinking of picking up a new TV and this one is the most inches I can get in my entertainment center? Is this a good TV or should I go with a smaller plasma?

I have tested that model and I think it's good and has a great picture. However when it comes to it, it's mainly personal taste and budget. You can get they samsung DLP and have a High Quality image for a lower budget. Also the Samsung LCD's really pop that are those sizes. For LCD Sharp Aquos is about the best. DLP, samsung is the leader. Plasma Pioneer is the leader. I would suggest taking a look at the 3 main technologies and seeing what you like best for that size. Play with the settings and different video feeds(HD, standard, DVD,..ect)

Great advice above. The Samsung DLP will serve you fine for a great price. The smaller the screen the less chance you'll see artifacts. It will last longer than the more expensive plasma.
