Its this kind of constant CRAP, incaptabilities, "acquiring signal", bad SD signals and so on, that have me going back to cable. That sucks because I know that "E" has the most HD, but its not worth the aggrivation. They didn't even make an attempt to retain me after over 2 years with the service.

I'm feeling you man, I'm getting so close to doing away with Dish after 8 years with them. I get good reception and stuff, I'm mostly feed up with the $6 charge her and $6 there. As it sits right now, they charge me a $6 HD receiver lease fee, a $6 HD package charge on top of the charges for the channels themselves, and also a $6 chanrge for an additional reciever. All this is on top of my normal programing charges. This company is getting rediculas! :(

You'll still pay more for cable in the long run. Look into upgrading to a dual tuner receiver those will save you some additional outlet fees. You'll get 2 rooms for the price of 1. (322 or 625) or New Hi Def (622) receivers.

O, I'm not going to cable, I'm just complaining about my Dish be seems to slowly get bigger and bigger. BTW---- I just got a notice from Dish that my bill is going up another $3. They use to send me a coupon for a free movie rental when they go up prices, not anymore apparently.

Did you have a technician come to the house & troubleshoot your problem? I can assure you that whatever problem you had will not be resolved over the phone with a CSR Rep. The issues you've talked about can be resolved within 15 minutes of a technician coming to your house with the (hands on approach) instead of the (over the phone robot approach ) for $ 29.00 or $99.00 depending on the status of your warranty.

You'll be back !

I AM going to cable for a package deal with HDTV DVR, Road Runner, and Digital Phone. If you leave DISH, get ready for many phonecalls from account reps, continued billing, etc. It's hard to get their attention, and to get them to actually disable an account. Have fun!

I know the rate inrease is a bummer. Be nice of the cost of gas didn't go up either, price increases are inevitable in any business. Let's face it your going to pay more for newer technology (HD) etc...

If you do the research Dish is still in a class of its own as far as lowest price, service, technology & choices go.

The new Dish Family pack is 19.99 a month for 40 Channels. I'm pretty sure you can't get 40 channels from Cable or DirecTV for that amount. it's more geared towards people who have more to do then watch tv all day but still have the need for television that don't want to be charged $45.00 a month from the cable companies for just basic channels. A $25.00 dollar savings is HUGE a savings total of $300.00 a year !

Wow!

What a deal you landed!

Everyone offers a Bundled Service Pack these days Dish has been doing it for almost 2 years now with SBC - AT&T & for a lot less.

The Customer Service problems you speak of go on at every company including the cable companies if were weren't speaking to Hodgi & Raoul at every turn we'd all be a little more satisfied.

Feel free to come back & post how good your service & pricing is after 6 months after your promotions have ended.

C yuh !

Dish Network pricing is obscene. I pay $125 a month just to watch TV. I live outside of town so I do not have the choice of going to cable. To bad too, because my local cable company offers Phone, Data, and Catv service for $135. That includes 21 High definition channels.
Dish has only 4 High Definition channels that actually appear to be truly High Definition feeds. I wish I could cancel but I don't have any choice.
Dish pricing has never been competitive, I am considering going to directv, but I doubt I would be accomplishing anything besides spending a little extra money on an installation fee.
