I'm having trouble getting the best picture and brightness settings. I currently have them both in the middle. What can I do to make these settings look the best and and prolong the TV's lifespan the longest? Thanks.

I have the same TV and used the Avia calibration DVD to set all the video settings. To prolong the lifespan of the TV I would recommend not using the "Vivid" picture setting - depending on what I'm watching I switch between Standard, Movie, and Pro - but never Vivid.

Yeah, Vivid is insanely bright. Even Standard seems a bit too bright. I need this TV lasting for about 8 years. I either switch between the Pro and Movie setting. I'm hoping by limiting myself to just these two options that it will prolong my TV's lifespan.
