2000 dollars to spend

01-18-2006, 11:00 AM
I have saved 2000 dollars to purchase a TV what is the best value for the money? I have looked at and RCA scenium 50 inch and asssorted smaller Samsungs and others. Is it worth taking the smaller size to get the samsung or sony? DLP or LCD rear projection which is better for videogames, Also what about a 37 inch LCD by westinghouse are they good? Thanks for any help you guys can give.

i know you said 2k was your limit but for not much more there is a great tv available that is 1080p, built in digital cable reciever, tv guide, and 2 hdmi ( will come in handy for ps3, xbox 360 when they make there hdmi, and high def dvd ) so for not much more your set up great for the future. it should come out th close to $2400 with shipping included. its a great deal for the cash. this tv will not accept a 1080p singal but it will convert a 1080i singal to 1080p. which should be great for high def gaming.

you will save alot of cash if you buy online instead of the retail stores. the toshiba model that is considered lower then this goes for $2500 at best buy and online it is only $1500. it will be worth the extra couple of days you wait for the delivery. rca is not a reliable brand.

this is just a few reviews that i have read. i also have a few techs that are close friends that work for electronics repair places. they all agreed that rca is not reliable. they have great customer support. but there tvs do have problems. more so then others. for the mosst part these reviews are not good.
