Greeting Ladies and Gentlemen
As the title states, I am new to you and wish to get your thoughts on the new system that I'm planning on acquiring very shortly. I am in the process of getting an:

Pioneer Elite 1130
Anthem D1
" " A5

B&W 805S Speakers
Htm 4 Center
Seismic 12 Sub Woofer
CCM 80 In ceiling speakers

Trying to decide which DVD to go with?
Initial thought was 3910/5910
but advised to wait for HD DVD coming soon in mid 2006.
what are you thoughts?
thank you sincerely

The Denon 3910 is a killer player, especially when combined with one of their mid range to high end receivers with DenonLink. Not only does it have great video capabilities, but the digital link will provide bass management for SACD and DVD Audio discs. Very important and something a lot of people do not understand or appreciate. The last thing most people want is full range signals sent to ALL of their speakers, including the subwoofer!!!!

On the other hand, it is a very expensive player and with CES in progress and announcements on new equipment just around the corner, I would wait.

I am hoping Denon makes a universal player, with DenonLink, and does HD video.

Here is a link that I think will help. There are some low cost players with exceptional performance that I would consider if you do not want to wait. The Panasonic 77 and 97 come to mind. Both have HDMI and I would not buy a player without it. DVI is on its way out.
