The Truth about the new enhanced Service Plan

So the cost has gone up but DT has promised they will now include free upgrades to the latest equipment. True if you are willing to extend your contract.

My HR 22 has been getting progressively worse for the last 2 months to the point where it can take 35 seconds to change channels from the guide. Native is off. scrolling is off. 75% capacity available in the DVR. all phone call records have been deleted. Only one format 720P is checked as that is what my Tv does best.

I asked that it be replaced and they ran the drill for about 20 minutes, try reset . push the colored keys etc. everything I have already tried. It told them the DVR sometimes works after resetiing but always goes back to the 35 second delay after about a day.

They finally agreed to replace my DVR but only with one of like kind. I hope it is better. I was told they normally do not replace DVR's when they slow up and that 35 seconds was not unusal.

The girl was nice, the policy stinks. I am paying for free maintenace and a 35 second delay is not considered a problem merriting replacement.

Only after telling them I would switch to Dish due to the PAC 12 issues did they relent and agree to replace the DVR. No way I am extending my contract when there is no PAC 12 network.

This PAC 12 thing will probably cause me to change to DISH on Aug 15th if it is not resolved. Reviews of Dish seem mixed. I guess I will find out.

You should go with whatever service that provides the programming that you want to see. That's the most important thing. In my case it's Sunday Ticket, I want in and only Directv has it. For you it's the Pac-12, best of luck with your switch.

I went thru the same thing, finally telling them it just bricked up. Then they act.
